Get Ready To Race

Athletes to arrive in Whitehorse.

The pre race events will all be centred around the Sternwheeler Hotel in Whitehorse.

Monday and Tuesday - Mandatory Kit Check appointments

am - Mandatory kit check appointments

pm - Race welcome & briefing

am – Outdoor kit and sled testing session

pm – Loading vehicles (primarily sleds onto trailer)

am – Depart from Whitehorse.

pm – Evening meal and bar available in Dawson at own expense.

10.30am – Depart for Start line

12.00pm - THE RACE COMMENCES from Dempster Corner.

12.00pm – 120 mile race finishes at Engineer Creek.

12.00pm – 250 mile race finishes at the Arctic Circle.

12.00pm – Athletes and support crew depart Arctic Cirlce.

6.00pm – Athletes and support crew arrive Dawson.

Evening – Post Race Meal and Awards in Dawson.

am – Athletes and support crew depart Dawson and travel to Whitehorse.

pm – Arrive Whitehorse.

** NOTE – The return travel arrangements are all subject to the road being open on the journey back. Athletes are STRONGLY advised not to book their homeward flights out of Whitehorse before Monday 4th March (or indeed Tuesday 5th March) and in addition are advised to have travel insurance to cover the possibility of being delayed further.
