The 2023 Race Itinerary - (2024 TBC)

Oct 21 Update: Whilst this itinerary is preliminary, the main dates are extremely unlikely to change. If any dates do change we will notify you as soon as possible to give time for changes to travel plans. All being well, this wont change now though. We are, of course, monitoring the current COVID-19 conditions in the territories we travel through and are working with those authorities to ensure a safe and successful event for 2022.

  • Friday 17th to Sunday 19th February

    Athletes to arrive in Whitehorse.


    The pre race events will all be centred around the Sternwheeler Hotel in Whitehorse.

  • Monday 20th February

    Mandatory kit check appointments


    Monday pm – Race welcome & briefing

    Monday pm – Final Mandatory Kit check

  • Tuesday 21st February

    am – Outdoor kit and sled testing session

    pm – Loading vehicles (primarily sleds onto trailer)

  • Wednesday 22nd February

    am – Depart from Whitehorse

    pm – Evening meal and bar available at Eagle Plains at own expense

  • Thursday 23rd February

    am – 10.30 am THE RACE COMMENCES at Eagles Plains


    pm – Athletes cross the line into the Arctic Circle

  • Sunday 26th February

    10.30am – 120 mile race finishes at Ft McPherson.

  • Saturday 4th March

    10.30am – 380 mile race finishes at Tuktoyaktuk


    am – Athletes and support crew depart Tuktoyaktuk.**


    pm – Athletes and support crew arrive Eagle Plains.**


    Evening – Stop over at Eagle Plains. Evening meal and bar available.**

  • Sunday 5th March

    am – Athletes and support crew depart Eagle Plains for Dawson.**


    pm – Post Race Meal and Awards in Dawson.**

  • Monday 6th March

    am – Athletes and support crew depart Dawson for Whitehorse.**


    pm – Athletes and support crew arrive back at Whitehorse.**

  • Note

    ** NOTE – The return travel arrangements are all subject to the road being open to Eagle Plains on the journey back. Athletes are STRONGLY advised not to book their homeward flights out of Whitehorse before Tuesday 7th March and in addition are advised to have travel insurance to cover the possibility of being delayed further.
