An Arctic Expedition Race Like No Other
The 6633 Arctic Series is an expedition race across some of the most remote, awe inspiring and unforgiving landscapes on Earth.

Over distances of 120+ miles or the full 380 mile route, competitors follow the historic Dempster Highway and frozen ice roads deep into the Canadian Arctic. You’ll cross from the Yukon into the Northwest Territories, traversing Hurricane Alley and Wrights Pass as you move through the surreal stillness of endless snowfields and Arctic sky.
From the moment you arrive in Whitehorse, the journey begins. This is not a predictable, scripted course. The 6633 is shaped by weather, ice and terrain.
No two years are the same. The route flexes, the crew adapts and you must too. This is a race where resilience matters more than pace.
This is a self sufficient adventure meaning you decide when to move, when to rest and when to eat. You camp in the wilderness, carry your own gear and rely on your preparation, mindset and grit. Checkpoints offer hot water, shelter and encouragement, but the experience, the suffering and the triumph are 100% yours.
Whether you take on the 120 mile challenge or go all in for the full 380, the 6633 Classic is for those who crave more than a medal. It’s for those who seek the silence, the solitude and the deep personal reward that only the Arctic can offer.

The Journey
This isn’t a schedule. It’s an Arctic adventure, one step at a time.
Expedition includes accommodation and plane travel back to Whitehorse after the race finishes; 3 nights stay at Whitehorse, 1 night in Dawson city, 1 night Eagle Plains and 1 night at Inuvik.
Saturday 19th February | Arrive Whitehorse | The Gateway to your Adventure
The journey begins in the Yukon’s capital. Settle into Whitehorse, a frontier town steeped in Klondike Gold Rush history. Here, you’ll meet your fellow competitors, sort your gear, and start to feel the first ripple of what’s ahead.

And, off we go!

Experience:
- The legendary Sourtoe Cocktail
- First taste of the Yukon wild
Day 2 | Travel the Dempster Highway | Arrive at Eagle Plains
We hit the Dempster Highway which winds its way through through the Tombstone National Park and Tundra Plains towards the destination of Eagle Plains - your starting point.
After final checks, briefings, kit checks and a beer at the wonderful Eagle Plains Hotel Bar, you'll get the opportunity to see your first Northern Lights and mesmerising sunset.
Day 3 | Race Day | Step inside the Arctic Circle
As you awake to a wonderful sunrise, with temperatures in the -20sC, you'll get the first view of the route ahead of you. These will be your first steps within the Arctic circle. 40 miles later you'll reach check point 1 at Sheeps Creek.
Northwest Territories | James Creek
Welcome to the Northwest Territories. After punishing winds of Hurricane Alley and the climb over Wright Pass this checkpoint offers a well earned pause at check point 2.
Fort McPherson | 120 Mile Finish
Congratulations! If you make it here, you’ve completed the 120 mile race. But for 380 milers it’s just the beginning. Fort McPherson stands proud on the banks of the Peel River, a crossroads of Arctic cultures.
Aklavik | Over Halfway
Sitting at 211 miles Aklavik is a friendly small town, who are wonderfully supportive of our athletes. This town is rich in Indigenous heritage and steeped in northern pride.
As you head off into one of the longer stages after enduring consistent low temperature, driving winds and the solitude of the frozen Peel River, you'll begin to see the Northern Lights over Inuvik - your next destination.
Inuvik | 280 Miles down, 100 to go
Welcome to Inuvik, colourful, cultural and respite from the elements. After 280 miles of endurance this is the chance to rest before taking on the next 100 miles towards the Arctic Ocean.
Tuktoyaktuk | Arctic Ocean | Finish Line
You will see the lights of Tuktoyaktuk in the distance and when you will smell the sea air of the Arctic Ocean, you'll know you are close.
Congratulations, you are one of the very few to make it this far. You'll be escorted to our crew and locals but the race isn't complete until you touch the Arctic Ocean sign.
